| “I injured my neck at work last year. The pain started going into my arm and my fingers became numb. Dr. Walther started me on a treatment plan that included the Decompression Traction System. After just five treatments, I went several days without the pain and numbness. The treatment is painless and Dr. Walther and his staff really put you at ease.” K.B. |

| “I injured my lower back and had a surgery about a year and a half ago. I was still having a lot of back pain when I decided to try Dr. Walther’s treatment. I felt relief immediately and continue to feel improvement after each treatment. The Decompression Traction System feels like a nice easy stretch.. I wish I had this option before I had surgery.” C.J. |

What Is Chiropractic
Care?
Chiropractic
(as defined by the ACA) is a basically
a branch of healing arts, which is concerned
with human health and disease processes.
Doctors of Chiropractic give special attention
to the physiological and biochemical aspects
including structural, spinal, musculoskeletal,
neurological, nutritional, emotional, and
environmental relationships.
The practice and procedures which may
be employed by Doctors of Chiropractic
are based on the academic and clinical
training received in and through accredited
chiropractic colleges and include, but
are not limited to, the use of current
diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Such procedures include adjustment and
manipulation of the articulations (your
joints) and adjacent tissues (your muscles)
of the human body, particularly of the
spinal column.
Common conditions treated by Doctors
of Chiropractic include:
|
Neck and/or Back Pain |
|
Whiplash
Injuries |
|
Migraine Headaches |
|
Fibromyalgia |
|
Arm and/or Leg Pain |
|
Nerve Pain |

Medical Massage
Medical
massage therapy aids in the release of
soft tissue tension and adhesions. This
type of massage focuses on allowing the
body to heal naturally. Most medical massage
therapists utilize a variety of techniques
to address a patient's needs. Our techniques
will vary with the general health of
our patients. All the techniques our therapist
might use are carefully selected with the
patient's best interest in mind, and administered
only with the patient's consent. Some examples
of commonly used techniques for medical
massage therapy are Swedish massage, myofascial
release therapy, neuromuscular (deep tissue)
therapy, craniosacral therapy, lymph drainage,
or accupressure, just to name a few.
Medical Massage Therapy can...
|
Relax and lengthen muscle
fibers for recovery and improved function |
|
Prevent or reduce scar
tissue |
|
Improve Joint Function
and range of motion |
|
Decrease areas of swelling |
|
Relieve constipation
& some digestive disorders |
|
Help re-establish proper
nerve flow in damaged, fatigued or
injured areas |
|
Increase energy levels |

Fibromyalgia and Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome
According to the National
Foundation for Fibromyalgia, as many as
12 million Americans suffer from Fibromyalgia
or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but remain
undiagnosed because of its elusive nature.
Fibromyalgia is most common in women between
the ages of 20 and 50, although it also
affects men, the elderly, and children.
Do you have any of these
symptoms?
|
Do you experience regular
muscle aches & pains? |
|
Are you lacking energy on a consistent
or daily basis? |
|
Do you have trouble sleeping or getting
a restful sleep? |
|
Do you have headaches and/or irritable
bowel syndrome? |
If you answered YES to any
of these questions, you may
have Fibromyalgia
or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Research and experience have
found that spinal manipulation, exercise,
dietary changes, nutritional enhancement,
postural changes, physical therapies (heat,
ice, light massage, etc.), and stress management
can improve Fibromyalgia (FM) symptoms.

Tension,
Cervicogenic
and Migraine
Headaches
One third of Americans suffer
from tension headaches. These headaches
can be felt on both sides of the head as
a dull, steady pain that often becomes
intense at the end of the day. Unfortunately,
traditional medicine has little to offer
chronic headache sufferers. Pain medicine
and muscle relaxants will ease the pain.
Stress reduction, relaxation and exercise
can improve wellness and perhaps prevent
the occurrence of the headache.
Cervicogenic
headaches are
characterized by pain on one side of the
head with associated neck pain on the same
side. A patient with these headaches perceives
pain in the head, but the actual source
of the pain lies in the cervical spine.
Migraine
headaches affect
an estimated 25 million people in the U.S.
each year, the majority of whom — an estimated
17 million people — are not currently seeking
professional treatment for their condition.
Do you have any of these
symptoms?
|
Do you wake
up with headaches |
|
Do you experience nausea
or dizziness? |
|
Do you see lights or
spots? |
If you
answered YES to
any of these questions, you may
suffer from Tension, Cervicogenic or Migraine headaches.
Chiropractic
Treatment (including
spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy,
or both) has been found to be effective
in the treatment of Tension, Cervicogenic, and
Migraine headaches.
